It started with one tree at Valley Forge.
On a winter afternoon at Valley Forge, I noticed a single evergreen standing among bare trees. Everything around it had gone dormant for the season. It was still green.
Evergreens last by holding on to what sustains them, and they grow at their own pace. That image stayed with me. The season you are in does not define what you are capable of.
This journal is where that idea became a practice.

Seven practices, taken at your own pace.
There is nothing here to complete or get right. Some pages may stay blank, and you can always return.
I. Presence. Coming back to where you are.
II. Connection. The people you are growing alongside.
III. Pace. Moving at a speed you can sustain.
IV. Adapt. Adjusting to the conditions you are given.
V. Honor. Naming who and what has steadied you.
VI. Reclaim. Taking back what has drifted.
VII. Integrate. Carrying the practice into ordinary days.
Each practice opens with a short reading, moves through an activity, and leaves room to write.
